In 1932 H.B. Neild moved his family to Southeast Texas from Liverpool England and used his master construction skills to begin H.B. Neild, General Contractor. As the company grew, his two sons, John Neild Sr. and William E. Neild, worked for the company under his supervision. When they were named partners, the company was renamed H.B. Neild & Sons.

Through hard work and determination, the company prospered, and in 1963 was incorporated in the State of Texas and renamed H.B. Neild & Sons, Inc. John Neild Jr. became active as the company’s project management in 1972, and Thomas Neild was added to the firm in 1974. When John Neild Sr. retired in 1992, John Jr. became president and Thomas Neild, vice president, ushering the firm into its third generation.

One of the oldest general contracting firms in the Golden Triangle, H.B. Neild & Sons, Inc. takes pride in its tradition, while also utilizing the latest technology to advance and simplify communications throughout the construction process. The company is a product of the hard work, effort and commitment by generations of employees and their families, who share the Neild family’s belief that every project must be of the highest quality and efficiency, and view every building constructed as a small portion of their heritage. The company’s success is based primarily on the experience and level of commitment of its personnel, many of whom are second and third generation employees.

With offices located in Beaumont, the firm services all of the Golden Triangle and surrounding areas, and strongly supports the local community. One of the company’s greatest honors was contributing to the preservation of the area’s rich heritage through construction of Gladys City, and the rehabilitation of Tyrrell Library, St. Anthony’s Cathedral, and Jefferson Theater.
